This staged reading is the comic interpretation of a meeting between two unique and very different personalities. The Walt Disney film Fantasia was an unprecedented integration of music and image, including music by classical composer Igor Stravinsky. Small World, a new play by Frederick Stroppel, invites us into a conversation between internationally-acclaimed composer Stravinksy, 58, and Walt Disney, the dynamic 38-year-old creator of Mickey Mouse, as they discuss the groundbreaking film Fantasia.
The reading will feature Keir Dullea as Walt Disney and Tom Zingarelli as Igor Stravinsky. Keir Dullea is an accomplished actor best known for his starring role in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. He launched his acting career in with his New York debut in 1956 in Sticks and Bones. Cinematic roles have included The Good Shepherd with Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie, directed by Robert De Niro, and The Accidental Husband, in a cameo role with Isabella Rossellini. $20; Members, $15. Includes Light Fare and Cash Bar. Purchase Tickets Online

MouseMuse presents a hilarious and spellbinding evening of true ten-minute tales told by six storytellers, friends and neighbors. No scripts!

Anthony and Cleopatra fell into a burning ring of fire. Their agonizing and calamitous love affair changed history. However tonight’s stories will emphasize true tales of breakups, bad dates and smaller calamities that get in the way of more mundane folks like us.

The Love Hurts theme is inspired by Valentine’s Day and the role of Cleopatra performed by Katharine Hepburn at the American Shakespeare Theater in Stratford, CT (featured in the Bravo! theatre exhibition).
