Landscape of Change
The Fairfield Museum and History Center’s inaugural exhibition featured the story of Fairfield and its changing identity across 375 years of American experience. Vignettes on significant periods of this history included the story of the early Native American tribes and the Pequot War, the witch trials in Fairfield, early colonists, the dramatic Burning of Fairfield, maritime commerce, transportation, school life, slavery and immigration.
Featuring more than 100 of the Museum’s most treasured artifacts, Landscape of Change explored topics that highlight the development of Fairfield at different periods in its history.
The Landscape of Change exhibition is no longer on view.
