Fairfield’s Rockin’Top Ten
January 16 – April 28, 2014
Fairfield’s Rockin’ Top Ten celebrates 10 musicians who have helped create our region’s musical legacy, including Nick Ashford & Valerie Simpson, The Remains, Leonard Bernstein, David Brubeck, Jose Feliciano, Chris Frantz & Tina Weymouth, Richard Rodgers, Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards, Keith Richards and Donna Summer. For more than 75 years, some of America’s most renowned musicians have called Fairfield and its surrounding communities home, and have created some of their best work here.
These ten musicians represent a wide range of musical styles, from classical, musical theatre, and jazz to rock and disco. Some have made their mark as performers, while others were composers, songwriters, and producers.
Throughout the exhibition, explore the history of this region’s rich musical heritage through lectures, performances, and events presented with our community partner Fairfield Theatre Company.
Fairfield’s Rockin’ Top 10 is made possible by the generous support of First Niagara Bank, Hearst Media Services and Deej and Deborah Webb.
