Learn about the Inquiry Arc with Christine Jewell, Director of Education, and brainstorm with other teachers on how to infuse inquiry not just with social studies, but in other areas such as language arts. Mary Hanna, K-8 Social Studies Coordinator for New Canaan Public Schools, will discuss how the New Canaan school district incorporates inquiry in their curriculum.
Christine Jewell and Walter Matis, the Museum's Program and Volunteer Coordinator, will demonstrate two object-based programs that utilize objects and historical sources to study the past and to compare life in the past to life today.
