DESCRIPTION:With roots as farmland\, Stratfield has seen many changes over Fairfield’s history. The neighborhood of Stratfield boomed in the 1800s due to the industrial might of Bridgeport\, transforming into a vibrant suburb of the growing city. Join a special walking tour to explore local sites\, trace the area’s development\, and discover the different communities who called Stratfield home. Co-presented by the Stratfield Village Association. \nRegistration is required. $15 for Members; $20 for Non-Members. \nRain Date: September 13 at 1:30 pm \n  \nProgram Details: \n\nThis program will meet at Lincoln Park (455 Jackman Ave. in Fairfield)\nPre-registration is required—no drop-ins will be allowed.\nNo physical ticket will be mailed. Check in using your name.\nTour is approximately 90 minutes long and will start promptly.\nThis program is recommended for adults and kids ages 14 and up.\nPlease dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. We will be standing and walking for extended periods.\nNo refunds will be given unless the program is cancelled by the Fairfield Museum.\n\n  \n  \n
