Join Dr. Kelly Marino, Coordinator of Women’s Studies at Sacred Heart University, for a historical sketch on the 20th century suffrage campaign in Connecticut. Learn about key leaders from and moments in the Fairfield region and the statewide activism, emphasizing the important role that Connecticut played in the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment.

Dr. Kelly Marino is Assistant Lecturer of History and Coordinator of Women’s Studies at Sacred Heart University. She is a historian of 20th century America with a focus on women’s history.

“Voting Was Just the Beginning: 100 Years of Women Making History” marks the centennial of women’s suffrage and celebrates achievements of women leaders nationally. Presented in partnership with Fairfield County’s Community Foundation’s The Fund for Women & Girls and the League of Women Voters of Fairfield, CT, and supported by CT Humanities.
