Immigration Stories: History Bites Lunchtime Lecture

In conjunction with the exhibition An American Story: Finding Home in Fairfield County, FMHC Library Director, Dr. Elizabeth Rose will provide historical context for understanding family stories of immigration. How did immigration in the 1800s differ from today? How did the process of immigration affect different family members? How did immigrants’ experiences vary over time and with their country of origin? We’ll also talk about some tools for researching your family’s immigration story.

Monthly on a Wednesday, 12:30pm – 1:30pm. Members: Free; Non-Members: $5 suggested donation. Please bring a bagged lunch. Beverages and dessert will be provided.
