Monthly Genealogy Meet-Up

April 22, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Research in the Library

Join Collections Manager Diane Lee and Library Director Karen Burke for the April Monthly Genealogy Meet-Up.

This month, special guest Laurie Pasteryak (Director of Interpretation at the Fairfield Museum) will explore historic resources available for understanding Black, Native American and persons of color genealogical research. Laurie will provide a unique look into examples from some local archives and repositories, as well as share some readily available resources. Before coming to Fairfield, Laurie spent 10 years working in the Research Center at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum where her focus included 17th and 18th century historic research and genealogy, as well as authoring cultural landscape histories for the Battlefields of the Pequot War project.

Registration required for each meeting. Access to this program is free for members, the cost for non-members is $10.

Members will be emailed a coupon code. If you are a member and did not receive a coupon code, please contact us at info@fairfieldhs.org. Not a museum member? Please consider supporting the Fairfield Museum and History Center. An individual membership is only $30. Click here to join!
