Art Camp: Textiles

August 8 @ 9:00 am - August 12 @ 3:00 pm

$10.00 – $375.00
After School Sewing Classes for Kids

If you think doing your laundry is exhausting, try making your own fabric! Join Fairfield Museum educators and artists as we learn the intricacies of creating textiles during the Colonial Era. Participants will learn what is required to make many early American items still in use today! Different techniques will be learned, and textile pieces from the museum’s collection will be shown. Through experimentation with wool, weaving, and sewing, campers will learn new skills to use throughout their lives. Creating natural dyes, such as indigo, will bring newfound appreciation to the world of textiles.

Textile Camp: August 08 – 12 | 9am – 3pm | Ages 7 – 12

Members: $350; Non-Members: $375
