The History of Segregation and Affordable Housing in Fairfield County, Part Two
November 20 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Free program located offsite at the Saugatuck Congregational Church, Hoskins Hall
Connecticut is one of the most segregated states in the country due to a long history of public and private actions. Please join us to explore this history and its consequences in this two-part series hosted by the Fairfield and Westport Museums in partnership with Open Communities Alliance, TEAM Westport and the First Church Congregational of Fairfield.
Part Two: De-Designing Segregation: Strategies to unwind Residential Segregation
Please join us for Part two of this program where we will consider the role of towns, regions, and the state in “unwinding” segregation, with a particular focus on the role the generation of mixed-income communities can play in creating a more equitable and sustainable Connecticut.
