March 22 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Come hear Cindy Wolfe Boynton, CT NOW President, and Christine DeTroy, longtime activist for women’s rights, speak on the passage of the ERA and why it matters today – and what’s next.
Cindy Wolfe Boynton, CT NOW President, is an award-wining writer and editor whose background includes more than 15 years as a regular correspondent for The New York Times and 9 years as editor of Better Health magazine. She is an expert on the history of the ERA and active with the ERA Coalition. She is the author of Remarkable Women of Hartford.
Christine M. DeTroy is an advocate and activist for the ERA, education, social services, peace, and justice. A longtime member of the League of Women Voters, she is also a member of NOW. DeTroy’s commitment to working for equality, good government, and an informed citizenry came from being a child in Hitler’s Germany and the horror and destruction of World War II, as described in her memoir, Remembering…Years of Hiding Behind Silence.
