Directions

The Fairfield Museum is located at 370 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.

From the Interstate or Post Road, pass the Town Hall on Beach Road. The Fairfield Museum is located less than a half a mile on your right. Look for our white sign right before the Old Burying Ground.

By I-95 South: Exit 22, at the end of the ramp, turn left. Go under I-95 and railroad tracks to stoplight at intersection with Post Road. Turn right, go one block to traffic light; turn left onto Beach Road. Continue straight at the stop sign. Museum entrance is on your right, just after the next stop sign.

By I-95 North: Exit 22, at the end of the ramp, turn right. Go under railroad tracks to stop light at intersection with Post Road. Go straight across intersection; turns into Beach Road. Continue straight at the stop sign. Museum entrance is on your right, just after the next stop sign.

By Merritt/Hutchinson Parkway (North or South): Take Exit 44 onto Black Rock Turnpike, follow “Fairfield” signs. Watch for Route 135 signs, and take right onto Rte 135. Follow past Fairfield University, under I-95 and the railroad tracks to the stoplight at the intersection with Post Road. Turn right, go one block to traffic light; turn left onto Beach Road. Continue straight at the stop sign. Museum entrance is on your right, just after the next stop sign.

By Route 25 or Route 8 Southbound: Take Route 8/25 Connector south to Bridgeport to I-95 South. Follow above directions I-95 South.

By Bus A bus stop is conveniently located 2 blocks away on the Post Road in Fairfield, CT at the intersection of Beach Road.

By Train Take Metro-North to the Fairfield train station (not Fairfield Metro). The Fairfield Museum is an easy walk from the train station, or cabs are available for your convenience. To walk, proceed south to the Post Road. Continue past the Fairfield Public Library and take a left onto Old Post Road. Continue past the YMCA and turn right at the Episcopal Church. You will see the back entrance to the Fairfield Museum, past the Museum Commons.
