On the eve of the American Revolution, Fairfield was a prosperous and established town. By 1774, increasing hostilities with Britain over its attempts to exercise greater control over the American colonies forced many Fairfielders to act. After the Battles of Lexington and Concord ignited the American Revolution in 1775, 68 Fairfield men volunteered to fight for the revolutionary cause. During this walking tour, explore how Fairfield residents debated the question of independence or loyalty in local taverns and discover why Fairfield became a target for British hostilities.

**No physical ticket will be mailed. Check in using your name.**
