Calling all aspiring artists! Local teacher & artist Omayra Rivera-Filardi will lead a special drawing workshop in a real-life tavern. Children ages 7-12 will learn how to draw 1-point perspective and architectural details in the Sun Tavern and build their illustration skills.

 

Registration is required. $25 for Members; $30 for Non-Members.

 

About the Artist

Omaya Rivera-Filardi is an accomplished illustrator, painter, and art educator known for her vibrant and evocative works that blend traditional techniques with contemporary concepts. With 21 years of experience as both an artist and educator, Omaya is dedicated to helping students explore their creative potential while cultivating a deep understanding of visual literacy and artistic expression. Specializing in illustration and acrylic paint, Omayra has exhibited work at prominent venues such as dnj Gallery in Santa Monica, CA, and City Lights Gallery in Bridgeport. Additionally, her work has been featured in the online gallery for the MSAA’s Art Showcase. Through both personal and professional practice, Omaya continues to inspire and shape the future of art education while maintaining an active presence in the creative community.
