In conjunction with the exhibition Pioneering Conservation, join us for a bird walk at historic Oak Lawn Cemetery & Arboretum, led by Milan Bull, Connecticut Audubon’s senior director of science and conservation. Nesting season will be underway. Expect to see and hear Baltimore Orioles, Scarlet Tanagers, Red-eyed Vireos, and many other songbirds. Then, join us for light refreshments and a chance to explore the c. 1750 Ogden House.

Space is limited. Advanced registration is required. $10 for Fairfield Museum Members; $15 for Non-Members.

 

Program Details:

  • Meet at the entrance gate at Oak Lawn Cemetery & Arboretum, located at 1530 Bronson Road. Parking is available at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
  • Please bring your own binoculars.
  • Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. We will be walking for extended periods, mostly on paved roads throughout the cemetery.
  • Restrooms will be available at Oak Lawn Cemetery & Arboretum.
  • No refunds will be offered unless the program is cancelled by the Fairfield Museum.
