History Camp: 1976 Edition | August 17-21, 2026 | Ages 7 – 12

Travel back in time with the Fairfield Museum in this special edition of History Camp! Kids will experience how America celebrated its Bicentennial in 1976. Campers will try totally groovy 1970s crafts like macramé, tie-dye, and weaving! Then step into the c. 1780 Sun Tavern to see what life was truly like during the colonial period. Write with quills & ink on parchment, make candles, play colonial games, and more. Join us to celebrate American history like it’s 1976!

Cost

Members: $425; Non-Members: $450

You may drop your camper off at 8:30 am for an additional fee of $15 a day. Please make sure to pick the number of days (quantity) you need when you check out.

Advanced registration is required and payment is due with registration.

The following documents are required and should be returned to the Fairfield Museum via email no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of a program:

• 2026 FMHC Release and Agreement
• Medical Form
