The soaring post and beam Jacky Durrell Meeting Hall is equipped with a modern sound and projection system that is perfect for presentations, slide shows, a rehearsal dinner or shower. The meeting hall is complimented by the Engelman Reception Hall, both of which have breathtaking views of the Museum Commons and Town Green. The museum’s galleries and exhibitions add a touch of sophistication that will make your event exceptional.

The Fairfield Museum can accommodate 200 people for a reception, 80 people for a seated presentation in the Durrell Meeting Hall or 72 for an intimate seated luncheon or dinner. Galley kitchen facilities are included and additional areas for staging are also available. Our Preferred Vendors list features highly creative and talented caterers and other companies from the region to accommodate all budgets and tastes.
Rental fees are for a 5 hour period. Additional time beyond that 5 hour period will be billed according to the hourly rates listed on the rental agreement (access below). Unless agreed to, in advance, and noted on this agreement, all evening events must end and facilities must be cleaned and vacated by 11:00pm.
Rental hours begin when the first person arrives for set up or preparation. The time listed for starting is the time the first person enters to prepare for the event.
