Director of Community Programs
(Part Time, 25 hours / week)

The Fairfield Museum believes art and humanities have an integral role in sustaining a thriving community. We are seeking an energetic, and visionary, part time Director of Community Programs to coordinate, cooperatively plan, and implement a new series of multi-sector, innovative and fun family and adult programs, art installations, and performances that will provide participants meaningful opportunities to delve deeply into their community’s identity and take an active role in creating a more inclusive future.

Teach at the Museum!
The Fairfield Museum and History Center seeks creative and enthusiastic teachers who have a passion for helping children discover and explore the arts, history, and culture. Teachers are invited to submit proposals for after school classes and/or summer camps. Class themes may include drawing, painting, collage, photography, multimedia and photography and should utilize the Museum’s exhibitions and collections as inspiration. Assistant Visitor Services Manager
Responsible for overseeing the visitor experience at the Fairfield Museum, including reception, answering phones, assisting visitors and assisting with Museum Shop sales.

Fairfield Museum Events Assistant
Responsible for assisting with and supervising special events at the Burr Mansion and Fairfield Museum, including overseeing caterers and facilities use and ensuring the overall smooth operation and safety of event and rental activities.
