Family Photography Workshop
Family Photography Workshop Registration recommended. These workshops are best for families with kids ages 4 and up. Come experiment with photography and collage and learn about different photographic techniques. Using the wonderful examples from the museum’s Images and Featured Photographer: Allison Minto exhibitions, participants will create their own masterpieces! While enjoying the workshop, families are encouraged to also checkout Greg Shea's wonderful tintype family portraits going on at the same time. Family Workshops are $8 per adult, $5 per child, includes museum admission.

The Connecticut Symphonic Winds will be joining the Fairfield Museum on July 10th at 5pm for our annual commemoration of the Burning of Fairfield. On the morning of July 7th, 1779, some 2,000 British soldiers made landfall on Fairfield Beach. Over the course of the next two days, the town of Fairfield, which had supported independence, was raided and almost completely destroyed. The Fairfield Museum is excited to host the Fairfield County Dance Festival on July 13th from 6:00-8:00pm. This is part of a series of free outdoor presentations that enables accessibility to the arts in Fairfield County. The festival presents master classes, demonstrations, and workshops. It will feature Thomas/Ortiz Dance and East Coast Contemporary Ballet along with Cellist Melissa Westgate and other local artists, dance companies, and musicians.
